Psychotherapy in Brooklyn Heights

I work with my patients to understand their full self, honest emotions, and how to live in accordance with what they may need to thrive. I work dynamically on various goals and issues, such as developing healthy relationships, breaking unhealthy work patterns, addressing complicated family dynamics, and improving honest and effective communication. With compassionate listening and understanding I help my patients develop ways to manage and treat distressing challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief and trauma. I work to cultivate a space that is warm and empathetic, where my patients can feel safe, respected, and heard.

My approach is collaborative, holistic, and offers an eclectic mix of practices I've found particularly helpful. I draw influence from psychoanalytic, trauma-informed and behavioral methods.

I have approximately 10 years of clinical experience treating diverse populations of adults, adolescents, and families in the New York City area. I'm trained in psychodynamic therapy and draw influence from relational, trauma-informed, and behavioral methods. I have training and experience in treatment of trauma-related stress, including physical and sexual abuse.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York State. I have a Master of Science in Social Work from The Columbia University School of Social Work. I am also a student in psychoanalysis and study as an analytic candidate with The William Alanson White Institute of of Psychiatry, Psychoanalysis & Psychology.

My office is conveniently located in Brooklyn Heights at

26 Court Street, Brooklyn, NY 11242

within a short walking distance to the 2, 3, 4, 5, A, C, F, R trains

Beginning therapy can be stress inducing in and of itself. Please feel free to contact me and I’d be happy to answer any questions or discuss scheduling an intake session to talk more.

Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you!
